At 2:50 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to an alarm call at the Needs convenience store at 303 Prince Albert Road in Dartmouth. A man  entered the store and produced a sharp rock and demanded cash from the male clerk. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and  then fled on foot from the scene. The suspect was described as a white man in his 40’s, 5’8", 200 lbs., wearing a black hat, a brown winter coat and a green mask.   Patrol members flooded the area and set up containment, eventually locating the suspect hiding near Braemar Drive. A forty-one-year old man is currently in police custody and charges are pending. At this time, it is believed this man is responsible for both robberies in Dartmouth.
