GO #14-11833 – Vehicle/Pedestrian Hit and Run

At 2:20 a.m. on January 26, 2014, Halifax Regional Police responded to an injured person call near the intersection of Brunswick Street and Portland Place in Halifax. Responding officers found a 26-year-old man lying on Brunswick Street just north of Portland Place. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a head injury that resulted in a concussion and stitches. The victim could not be interviewed at the time of the incident due to his injury.

Witnesses observed a dark-colored SUV leaving the area and a short time later, patrol officers located a vehicle matching the description. Two men and a women were arrested, interviewed and subsequently released without charges. The vehicle was seized and forensically examined by HRP Forensic Identification Officers.
