GO# 15-111936 – Police investigating robbery of taxi driver

At 1:36 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to the 40 block of Frederick Avenue in Halifax in relation to a taxi driver who was robbed at gun point from a fare he had picked up on Titus Street in Halifax. The suspect had produced a gun and demanded money from the taxi driver, who resisted the robbery. The suspect fled the area on foot towards Dutch Village Road. The area was searched by patrol members and the K-9 Unit, but the suspect was not located. There were no injuries to the taxi driver, and the suspect was unsuccessful in obtaining any money.The matter is still under investigation. 

The suspect is described as a white man in his twenties, 5’7”, thin build, with black curly hair and beard, wearing a black jacket, jeans and carrying a backpack.
