On August 23 at 11:45 p.m. police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Ridgecrest Drive and Mount Edward Road in Dartmouth. A motorcycle travelling on Ridgecrest Drive proceeded through the intersection and crashed into a yard on Mount Edward Rd. The 30-year-old male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident is being investigated by the Halifax Regional Police Collision Investigation Unit.
