On August 26 at 9:54 p.m. officers responded to a robbery call in the 6000 block of Chebucto Road. It was reported that a man had entered the store, demanded cigarettes and threatened to assault the clerk. The man left on foot with a quantity of cigarettes. Police located the suspect in the area who was arrested without incident. The 28-year-old man was held in custody and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court today to face charges of robbery, theft and possession, and breach of probation.
