On September 30 at 7:46 p.m., Halifax Regional Police, Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency Services and EHS responded to a head on collision on Akerely Boulevard past Gloria McCluskey Avenue. A truck travelling eastbound lost control crossed the grass meridian and struck a car heading westbound head-on. Both vehicles rolled several times before coming to a stop. The two occupants of the car were transported to hospital to with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries. The truck was seized by police to be examined for mechanical issues. The file is still under investigation.
