At approximately 1:20 a.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a disturbance on the street in the area of Albro Lake Road and Sheridan Street in Dartmouth. Information was received from members of the public that a man had been assaulted with a conducted energy weapon and pepper sprayed. Police arrested a man at the scene. The 32-year-old male victim was evaluated by Emergency Health Services paramedics at the scene for exposure to pepper spray and the conducted energy weapon. The victim and suspect are known to one another. A 43-year-old man will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at later date to face weapons related charges.
