At approximately 2:50 a.m. on July 9, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report that a cab driver had kissed and touched a 20-year-old woman in a sexual manner without her consent. The victim and the cab driver were located by HRP in the 1800 block of Barrington Street in Halifax a short time later, where the cab driver was taken into custody without incident. As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old Halifax man will appear in Halifax provincial court on September 8 to face the charge of sexual assault.
