GO# 16-102019 - Two men and a woman in custody following robbery

UPDATE: Members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged a 31-year-old man from Millbrook, NS.  He will appear in Halifax provincial court on Monday, July 11to face charges of robbery and breaching a court order (recognizance). The other two people that were arrested have been interviewed and released from custody without charge. Investigators are searching for a second suspect in this matter. He is described as a white man in his early 20s, 5'5" with a scruffy unshaven face, buzz cut hairstyle, wearing a light coloured sweat shirt with horizontal blue stripes and dark blue pants.  Investigators are asking anyone with information on this second suspect or his whereabouts to the Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------At approximately 5 a.m. on July 10, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery in progress at the Irving located at 2499 Robie Street in Halifax. The two male suspects had fled the business prior to police arrival. Information was provided by store staff that two men had produced a knife and robbed the store of cigarettes, money and other store product. The first suspect was described as a white man in his twenties with short dark brown hair and possible facial tattoo, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and a hat. The second suspect was described as a white man wearing a striped sweatshirt and aviator-style sunglasses. A short time later, HRP arrested two men and a woman in the 5700 block of West Street in Halifax. These suspects are currently in custody being interviewed by members of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division. 

Investigators are looking to speak with anyone who may have any knowledge of this incident and ask that they contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020.
