At 8:45 p.m. on July 16, an HRP member attempted to pull over a motorcycle that had exited highway 111 onto Braemar Drive. The motorcycle did not pull over but accelerated, went out of control and crashed. The 20-year-old male driver was transported to Dartmouth General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He faces a charge of driving while disqualified and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date. The matter has been referred to the Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT).
