16-88385 Halifax Regional Police Investigate Robbery

 

Halifax Regional Police Investigating Robbery in Downtown Halifax

 

Central Division officers were dispatched to the area of Birmingham Street and Morris Street in Halifax shortly after 730pm last evening in relation to a man who had been stabbed.

 

Upon arrival, officers found a  44 year old man suffering from stab wounds.  While attempting to locate the suspects responsible an officer located a man matching the description given leaving a residence in the area and a foot chase ensued.  Officers caught the 26 year old man nearby and arrested him for robbery and assault with a weapon. 

 

The investigation continued and officers arrested another 25 year old man in Dartmouth later on in the evening at a King Street in Dartmouth.  Both men are still currently in custody at this time and final charges have yet to be determined.

 

The victim was transported to hospital by EHS and treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.
