Shortly after 8 p.m. Central Division officers were called to a Connor Lane address in relation to a weapons complaint. A woman called police to report a man she did not know threatened her with a knife as she waited in the common area of an apartment building. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to witnesses and conducted an investigation. The investigation led to the arrest of a 33-year-old Halifax man at his residence.
The man has been remanded until his court appearance on Tuesday to face charges of assault with a weapon, uttering threats and possession of a weapon dangerous.
