On September 2 at 3:15 a.m., a man walking on Mumford Road near the West End Mall in Halifax was shot at by an occupant of a passing vehicle resulting in minor injuries to his arm. Officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle on Chebucto Road near the roundabout and arrested three occupants (two adults and one young offender) and seized a BB style gun from the vehicle. While on scene, a second victim approached officers as he had been struck by a pellet while walking on Quinpool Road near Horseshoe Island.The three suspects, two aged 18 and the other aged 17, are scheduled to appear in court at a later date to face charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose (two counts) and assault with a weapon (two counts).Based on the investigation, police believe there may be a third victim in this morning's incidents.
