GO#12-157641 - Police Make Arrest in Early Morning Shooting in Dartmouth

At 5:14 a.m. on Sunday, October 28, Halifax Regional Police  responded to a report that a male had been shot on the sidewalk in the 0-100  block of Demetreous Drive in Dartmouth. Upon arrival, officers located a  19-year-old man who had suffered several gunshot wounds to his body. The male  was transported to the QEII Health Sciences Centre where he was treated and  later released. As a result of the investigation, police seized a vehicle from  the street near the shooting and investigators are preparing a search warrant  to enter and search the vehicle. A residence near where the victim was located  was also searched with a search warrant. At approximately 3 p.m. a 20-year-old  man was arrested in the area of the shooting and is currently in police custody  pending an interview by members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General  Investigation Section.
