At 6:50 p.m., police responded to a car/pedestrian collision on Victoria Road at Albro Lake Road in Dartmouth. A pedestrian was crossing Victoria Road in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle turning off Albro Lake Road onto Victoria Road. The 68-year-old male pedestrian was transported to the QE2 Health Science Centre with life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle, a 60-year-old Dartmouth man, was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
