At approximately 3:47 p.m., police responded to a report of an injured person in the 0-100 block of Mountain Road in Halifax. It was reported that a three-year-old boy had fallen out of a third floor window of an apartment building. Emergency Health Services and police responded and the child was transported to the IWK with undetermined injuries. Police are still on scene and are continuing their investigation.
Update - July 9, 2012 (5:02 a.m.)
The child wasn't serious injury in the fall and suffered only minor scrapes and bruising. He was being held over night for further observation. The police investigation into this matter is closed and no criminal charges are pending.
