At approximately 12:30 p.m. officers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian collision at the intersection of Coburg Rd. and Robie St. The pedestrian, a 22-year-old woman, was crossing Robie St. in a westerly direction in a marked crosswalk. The driver of the vehicle, a 36-year-old woman, was travelling east on Coburg Rd. and turned left on to Robie St., striking the pedestrian. For precautionary reasons, the pedestrian was taken to the QE2 hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
