Police responded to the intersection of Bayers Road and Micmac Street in Halifax at 1:45 p.m. on Saturday, August 23 after a car failed to stop for a traffic controller holding a stop sign. The traffic controller approached the vehicle when he was struck by the mirror of the vehicle as it continued down the street. The responding officer later located the vehicle and 47-year-old male driver in a nearby parkade. The driver was issued two tickets, one for disobeying a traffic control person in a temporary work area and another for failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
