At 9:12 p.m. on Sunday, December 7, Halifax Regional Police received a call that a man with a gun was on Halifax Transit bus #61 heading towards Preston. Members of Halifax Regional Police and RCMP responded and the bus was stopped on Lake Major Road. Officers arrested a 19-year-old man from North Preston and seized a loaded sawed-off long gun. The man will be attending Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday, December 8 to face several weapons related charges.
