On Friday, April 11 at 2:15 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to a pedestrian/vehicle collision at Lacewood Dr. and Willet St. A 76-year-old woman was walking across the entrance way of the parking lot at 287 Lacewood Dr. A 68-year-old woman was driving her vehicle at a slow rate of speed as she was exiting the parking lot when she made contact with the pedestrian on the front driver's side of the vehicle. The pedestrian fell to the ground. EHS attended the scene and the pedestrian was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk, and the accident occurred in a parking lot and not on the street. At this time, no charges will be laid.
