At 2:55 p.m. on April 21, Halifax Regional Police officers responded to a robbery call at the Superstore located at 6139 Quinpool Rd. A man had entered the store, approached a cashier and gave her a note indicating that he had a weapon and demanding cash. He was given an undisclosed quantity of cash and then fled the store. No one was injured during the incident. A short time later two men were arrested on Gottingen St. near Cornwallis St. who were believed to be involved in this robbery. One of the men arrested was Richard Hartlin, who is a person of interest in two other robberies and has an outstanding warrant from Parole Services Canada.
