At 12:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9 officers from the Halifax Regional Police Quick Response Unit witnessed a man break in to a vehicle in the parking lot of Crystal Crescent Beach. The man removed some items from the vehicle and then fled on foot in to a wooded area. The suspect, a 20 year old man, was quickly located and taken in to custody. The stolen items were recovered. The suspect has been charged with theft, possession of stolen property, property damage and breaching two court orders. He has been remanded to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility and will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on Monday May 12 to answer to these charges.
