GO#15-155848 Weapons Complaint

Halifax Regional Police is currently investigating a weapons complaint. At 3 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, a 25-year-old man reported that he was sitting in his vehicle on River Rd. in Halifax when a man got into his car, demanded money and produced a firearm. A shot was subsequently fired. The victim got out of the car and the suspect, a black man wearing dark clothing at the time of the incident, fled in the victim’s vehicle. The victim was not injured.  At this time, this incident is not believed to be a random act.

Police are currently looking for the suspect and the vehicle, a black 2004 Acura bearing NS licence plate FND972. Members of the public should not approach this vehicle. Anyone with information on this incident, the suspect or the vehicle is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5016.
