At approximately 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 7, officers responded to the 2000 block of Gottingen Street for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was learned that the 58-year-old male victim had been in the area of Cogswell and North Park Streets in Halifax at approximately 2 a.m. when he was assaulted and had his wallet stolen. No suspect description is available. The victim was assessed by EHS paramedics at the scene and didn't require further medical attention. The investigation, which is assigned to investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, will explore whether this incident and a similar robbery that happened earlier in the morning are connected.
