UPDATE: On December 27 at about 9 p.m., two more youths were arrested by police. As a result of the investigation, all three youths, a 14-year-old male and two 15-year-old males, were released and will appear in court at a later date to face six counts each of property damage in relation to the damaged vehicles.

At approximately 12:55 a.m. on December 27, Halifax Regional Police responded to the area of Rector Street and Acadia Street in Halifax to a report of a group of youths damaging vehicles. Several patrol units and a K9 unit responded and officers eventually arrested one of the youths. Officers located six vehicles that had been damaged. The youth remains in custody and the investigation is continuing.
