Halifax Regional Police is pleased to announce Graham Greene as the recipient of the 2013 Volunteer of the Year award.
Graham has volunteered with Burnside Watch for 13 years, assisting in crime prevention by conducting random patrols in the Burnside and Dartmouth Crossing areas. As a member of Burnside Watch, he looks for suspicious activity or potentially dangerous situations and relays that information to police.
Graham volunteers because he truly wants to make a difference in his community. His commitment, professionalism and positive outlook have earned him the respect of both his fellow volunteers and Halifax Regional Police members.
Halifax Regional Police congratulates Graham for his service to our community and thank him for his dedication to making HRM a safer place to live, work and play.
