A man whose information was published as being at a high-risk to re-offend has been arrested in Halifax.
On January 21, HRM Partners in Policing released a High Risk Offender Notification outlining that 55-year-old Michael Gerard Cooper was released from a federal penitentiary, placed under numerous court imposed conditions and was now residing in Halifax.
This morning at 11 a.m., officers responded to the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation store located at 6990 Mumford Road for a report that Mr. Cooper had entered the store contrary to his court imposed conditions. Mr. Cooper was arrested a short distance away from the store without incident and held in custody. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court this afternoon to face two charges of breaching his recognizance.
