On July 22 at 6:48 p.m. police responded to the 3600 block of High St. in Halifax for a report of a home invasion. The residents, 48 year old man and a 33 year old woman were at home when their back door was kicked in and a man entered their home. He then fled out the back door, nothing was taken and no one was injured.
The suspect was described as a black man wearing a mask and a hoodie, he fled on foot, through the back yards. This is not believed to be a random incident.
Numerous police units flooded the area, including K9, but the suspect was not located. The investigation is being continued by the Integrated General Investigative Unit and any anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police at 902-490-5016.
