HRM Will Hand Out Volunteer Awards at Ceremony on April 9th

Tuesday, April 8, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – As part of National Volunteer Week (April 6-12), the Halifax Regional Municipality, Mayor Mike Savage and members of Regional Council will recognize the extraordinary volunteer work of 78 individuals and three groups at a ceremony on Wednesday, April 9.

The HRM Volunteer Awards go to outstanding citizens and groups who volunteer their time and skills to provide services and programs in communities across the Halifax region.

This year the awards ceremony, hosted by Starr Dobson, will take place at the Harbourview Holiday Inn, 101 Wyse Rd., Dartmouth. Registration will begin at 6 p.m., followed by the official ceremony from 7-8:30 p.m.
