As part of National Volunteer Week (April 12-18), Halifax Regional Police (HRP) is recognizing its volunteers who make many of our community outreach and crime prevention programs possible.
On April 16, at a formal recognition event, HRP will recognize volunteers with Burnside Watch, Citizens on Patrol, Seniors’ Home Safety Program, HRP Youth Program, Neighbourhood Watch, Police Chaplains, Victim Services as well as our internal Employee and Family Assistance Program. Collectively HRP’s volunteers, numbering in excess of 110, contribute over tens of thousands of hours each year, helping to make our community a better place in which to live, work and play.
