As part of National Volunteer Week (April 18-24), Halifax Regional Police (HRP) is recognizing the volunteers who make positive contributions to our community.

We celebrate the 74 citizen volunteers who generously contribute their time and skills to deliver programs ranging from neighbourhood watch to victim services, as well as the many HRP employees who give back by volunteering within our service and with community organizations.

“We salute these community-minded people who put their values into action for the benefit of others,” said Chief Dan Kinsella. “Their dedication, adaptability and resourcefulness provided vital support to our community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.”

There are many different volunteer opportunities available at HRP and we are always recruiting volunteers. Visit https://bit.ly/32jccme to find out how you can make a difference in our community.
