A man has been arrested for impaired driving after a call from a concerned citizen this morning in Halifax.

At 9:45 a.m., police received a call from a witness who observed a vehicle driving erratically on Kearney Lake Rd and Castle Hill in the Clayton Park area of Halifax.  The witness also informed police that the vehicle had hit two other vehicles before leaving the area. No one was injured as a result of the accident.  Officers were able to locate the vehicle near the scene of the accident and arrested the male driver for impaired driving.

The investigation is continuing.

Driving while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs puts everyone in danger. In December 2009, MADD Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia launched Campaign 911 which encourages people to call police with information on suspected impaired drivers. HRM Partners in Policing continue to be encouraged by the number of citizens helping to play a role in community safety. If you have information on a drunk driver, please call 911.
