Halifax Regional Police has contacted the Nova Scotia Serious Incident Response Team, or SiRT, regarding a motor vehicle crash that occurred earlier this morning.

At 10:55 a.m., officers attempted to stop a motorcycle for a Motor Vehicle Act infraction on Hartlen Street in Dartmouth. The motorcycle failed to stop for police and proceeded onto Tacoma Drive where it struck a pole. The male motorcyclist was transported to hospital by EHS with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

As this crash resulted in injuries following police involvement, Halifax Regional Police contacted SiRT and they are conducting an investigation related to the pursuit. Any questions about their investigation should be directed to SiRT.
