A man faces numerous charges following an incident on May 10 in Dartmouth.

At 11:14 p.m., officers attended the 0-100 block of Caledonia Road to arrest a man who had breached his court imposed conditions. They located the man at the rear of a building, and while placing him under arrest, the man pulled his hands away and ran from the officers. While the man was running, what appeared to be a gun fell from his waistband. When the man realized this happened, he immediately stopped, put his hands up and advised police that it was a pellet gun. Upon searching the man, officers located and seized a quantity of marihuana.

Twenty-year-old Jacob J. Rayburn Bear of Dartmouth has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, possession of marihuana and three counts of breach of an undertaking. He appeared in Dartmouth Provincial court on May 11.
