A man faces charges in connection with a stabbing that occurred on February 12 in Dartmouth.At approximately 9 a.m. on that day, police were called to the 0-100 block of Thistle Street in Dartmouth for a report of a man who had been stabbed following an altercation with a man known to him. Officers attended the scene and located a 26-year-old Halifax man suffering from stab wounds. He was transported to hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. Investigators in the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have charged 25-year-old Charles Henry Whebby of Dartmouth with attempted murder, unlawful confinement and possession of a weapon dangerous to public peace. He is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to answer to the charges.
