Man Charged in Stabbing Incident

Investigators assigned to the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section have charged a man in connection with a stabbing that occurred Sunday night in Dartmouth.

On August 4, at 10:55 p.m., Halifax Regional Police responded to an apartment in the 100 block of Albro Lake Road to a report of a stabbing. A 27-year-old man was stabbed and several people in the apartment were assaulted by a man known to them. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The stabbing victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS. The other victims were treated at the scene.

On August 5, at 6 a.m., investigators arrested 22-year-old Troy Jeremiah Bowden without incident at an apartment on Garshan Road in Dartmouth. He was held in custody and remanded to the Central Nova Scotia Correctional Facility. He will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court today to face charges of attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, assault, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and breach of probation.
