At approximately 3:00 pm officers attempted to pull over a vehicle on Old Sambro Rd. The vehicle did not pull over and increased speed. The officers did not pursue the vehicle.
Shortly afterward, the officers saw the vehicle stopped in a driveway on Lee Murphy Crescent. The officers blocked the driveway with their vehicle. The suspect backed his vehicle into the police vehicle causing a small amount of damage to both vehicles.
There were no injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody and will be held for court.
A 22-year-old male will be charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop, assault with a weapon.
