A man faces two counts of voyeurism in connection with an incident that occurred in Dartmouth last summer.

At 8:25 p.m. on August 10, police responded to Mic Mac Mall in relation to suspicious circumstances inside the mall. A witness observed a man who appeared to be taking inappropriate photos and/or videos of women in public areas of the mall without their knowledge or permission. The man left the mall on foot prior to officers arriving but they located him in the parking lot and subsequently arrested him without incident.

As part of the investigation, police seized video from the mall, and on September 10, released still images from the video in attempt to identify three women who were in the mall between 7:15 and 8:30 p.m. that day. Two of the women were subsequently identified.  The investigation into this matter is ongoing.

Fifty-six-year-old Peter John Mills of Halifax was charged with two counts of voyeurism on September 22 and was released on a Promise to Appear. He appeared in Dartmouth Provincial Court today, however, the matter was put over and he is now scheduled to appear in court again on December 3.
