Man and woman charged after drug search

A man and a woman face charges after a drug search in Dartmouth on August 25. 

At 9:35 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 111 near Exit 4 and arrested the male driver for possession of a controlled substance. 

At 10:50 a.m., officers in the Guns and Gangs Unit of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division executed a search warrant at an apartment in the 0-100 block of Mount Edward Road. Officers seized a quantity of marijuana, cash, and drug paraphernalia. A woman was arrested at the scene without incident. 

Twenty-four-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman, both of Dartmouth, each face one count of possession of marihuana of for the purpose of trafficking. Both were released and will appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
