Media Advisory: Darrin Natolino Available to Speak about Storm Preparations

Monday, Jan. 26, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – Darrin Natolino, Superintendent of Winter Operations for the Halifax Regional Municipality, will be available at 1:30 p.m. today to talk about how the city is preparing for tomorrow’s storm.

There is currently a winter storm warning in effect across Nova Scotia. Forecasts are calling for between 15 and 30 centimetres of snow starting in the early morning hours of Tuesday. Some areas may also see as much as 20 millimetres of rain, accompanied by strong gusting winds that could cause whiteout conditions.

Media are asked to meet Darrin this afternoon outside the Transportation & Public Works depot at 3825 MacKintosh St., Halifax.

Updates on impacts to Halifax Transit, recreation programs and other municipal services will be shared through Public Service Announcements and social media.
