Missing woman - police seek public’s help

Update - June 20, 2014 (7:05 p.m.)Halifax Regional Police would like to notify the media and public that Monika “Mikki” Selig was located at 6:15 p.m. on Wyse Road in Dartmouth. She has been returned to her residence safe and sound. HRP would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.

Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Vice Unit are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Lower Sackville woman.

Twenty-six-year-old Monika “Mikki” Selig was last seen yesterday at 8:30 p.m. after she left a friend’s residence on Best Street in Dartmouth but never returned to her Lower Sackville residence. She is described as a white woman, 5’6”, medium build, blue eyes with jet black hair. She was last seen wearing a white tank top, black sweater and multi-colored pants. She is known to frequent the Spring Garden Road area.

There is no evidence to suggest that Monika has met with foul play but there is concern for her well-being as she suffers from a medical condition that requires on-going treatment and medications. Officers request that Monika or anyone with information on her whereabouts calls police at 490-5020.
