Halifax Regional Police is requesting the public’s assistance finding the owner of a large sum of money found in Halifax this week.
On May 20 at noon, officers responded to Value Village on Chain Lake Drive after an employee located several thousands of dollars hidden inside a donated textbook. The money was contained inside a university textbook and would have been donated at the store’s drive-in donation area on either May 19 or 20.
The owner, or anyone with information regarding the owner, is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5016. In order to claim the money, the person must be able to specify the amount of money, what denominations, and any details about the textbook, including the subject matter.
