At approximately 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, officers attended the scene of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Windsor Street and Young Street in Halifax. Witnesses indicated that a motorcyclist struck a vehicle at that location. The adult operator of the motorcycle was transported to the QEII hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Subsequent investigation by officers resulted in the 32-year-old operator of the motorcycle being charged with impaired driving and driving while prohibited, to which he will appear in court on a later date.
