On December 16, at 6:15 p.m., a 24 year old man reported to Halifax Regional Police that he had been struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was walking on Davison Street and was crossing the road in a diagonal fashion, not in a crosswalk. A vehicle struck him from behind hitting him in the legs and knocking him to the ground. The vehicle appeared to spinning on the icy road, then gained traction and left the area without stopping. The only description of the vehicle is a darker coloured sedan. The pedestrian then walked to his home in the immediate area and telephoned police. He did not require any medical attention. At this time the matter is still under investigation.
