December 10, at 7:55 p.m., – HRP members responded to a motor vehicle / pedestrian collision that occurred at the intersection of a school driveway. The incident occurred in the driveway of St. Agnes School where it opens onto Mumford Road in Halifax. A 43-year-old man in a wheelchair was proceeding north on the sidewalk and was crossing the driveway of the school when he was struck by a vehicle at low speed. The pedestrian was knocked over in his wheelchair but was not injured and did not require medical attention. The vehicle involved was not damaged nor was the 45 year old male driver injured.
This matter remains under investigation at this time.
