Sept. 15, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work begins this morning on an extension of the natural gas main on Herring Cove Road between Glenora Avenue and Arthur Street.
The pipe installation and subsequent restoration work is expected to take approximately eight weeks.
No work will take place between Glenora Avenue and High Street between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained when possible, with periods of stop-and-go traffic taking place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.
Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work may cause.
