Natural gas pipeline installation - Prince Albert Road/Ochterloney Street intersection

Friday, Aug. 7, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents and motorists that work will begin Monday, August 10, to extend the natural gas main in the area of the intersection between Prince Albert Road and Ochterloney and Eaton streets.

Saw-cutting will begin on Monday with pipe installation beginning on Wednesday.

Stop-and-go traffic should be expected while work is underway. No work will take place during the morning and afternoon rush hours (7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.).

The pipe installation and subsequent restoration is expected to take approximately two weeks. 

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to use alternative routes whenever possible.

Heritage Gas and the municipality apologize in advance for any inconvenience this work might cause.
