Officer Faces Additional Criminal Code Charge

Halifax District RCMP informed Halifax Regional Police today that an additional criminal code charge has been laid against Constable Chris Mosher.

Cst. Mosher has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle in relation to an incident that is alleged to have occurred in Eastern Passage on July 7, 2013. RCMP launched an investigation that night following a complaint from a member of the public, and on October 29, Cst. Mosher was charged with two counts of breaching his undertaking by drinking outside of his residence.

Cst. Mosher has been released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on November 20, 2013.

Cst. Mosher remains suspended from Halifax Regional Police without pay or benefits.
