Early this morning, police executed a search warrant in the 2400 block of Old Sambro Road. Officers conducting the search came upon a suspicious package inside the residence. As a result, the Explosives Disposal Unit was called to the scene and officers are in the process of removing the package. Traffic has been shut down in both directions and will remain closed until the package is deemed safe.
The matter is ongoing at this time and information will be released as it becomes available.
