At 10:35 a.m., officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the parking lot of the Sobeys store located at 287 Lacewood Drive in Halifax.
The pedestrian, a 69-year-old woman had just left the store headed towards the parking lot when she was struck by the vehicle. The driver of the motor vehicle, a 55-year-old woman, had stopped for multiple pedestrians and then began to pull out into the driveway when she struck the pedestrian at a very low speed. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk of any kind. The pedestrian was taken to hospital for examination, her injuries have yet to be determined but are not considered life threatening.
Investigating officers have determined that no charges will be laid in this matter.
